What clear film can realistically do
A properly installed film can take some everyday contact and cleaning wear instead of the underlying finish. It cannot make trim scratch-proof or eliminate damage from substantial impacts.
Check the kit before installation

Surface preparation matters
Work on a clean, cool surface as directed by the film manufacturer. Contamination beneath clear film is visible and can compromise the result. If you are not comfortable aligning adhesive film, professional installation may produce a more predictable finish.
